The Book of Enoch is a trip, First off we know that a Book of Enoch was quoted in the Bible, which means it can predate all the books in our Bible (if it were written by the pre-flood prophet Enoch). BUT we do not know for sure if this is it. We do not know if this is a later book, dated to 300 BC to 700 BC, that is just said to be the book of enoch; or part of the book; or actually the whole book; which would make it an astounding work of prophecy.The best scholarships shows that this book was written during the 3ed or 4th century BC, Most date it to 300 BC or earlier and it is considered one of the most important non-canonical apocryphal (really dutero canonical meaning it was has not been found to be written in Hebrew) works, and probably had a huge influence on early Christian, writings.Its a book filled with fantastical visions of heaven and hell, angels and devils, time travel and talk of portals (star gates). Enoch introduced concepts such as fallen angels, and expounds on the subject manor of Genesis chapter 6; the appearance of a Messiah (Christ), Grace being a big theme, the advent of christianity (inference) the tribulation, the millennium, Both Resurrections, the Final Judgement, and a Heavenly Kingdom on Earth. Interspersed with this material are scientific discourses on calendrical systems, geography, cosmology, astronomy, and meteorology. All from the point of reference of being on the earth.There are some very interesting parts, One is the exploration of the Fallen Angels and there interaction with Humans and commingling caused the Nephilim to rise up upon the earth (see Genesis chapter 6). If you really think about it, not only can Fallen Angels explain ancient mythologies but modern ones as well such as ETs and UFOs. Think about the Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek, and Roman mythologies of gods, gods = sons of god=fallen angels. Even the names seems to come from the names of these fallen angles. Even some legends of south America And the americas, seems reminiscent of these beings. This could also explain belief in ghosts, vampires, monsters etc., More on that in a bit,Something that strikes me as very interesting is "Enoch's" use of the term portal's. In studying what the particle accelerator's do they may very well open up a portal (even some scientists are alarmed as to what might come through it). From some research I have done Hitler and the Nazi's were trying to open portals, using Human sacrifice (what do you think a Holocaust is) to do it. Also it seems to me the prophet hear is transported (through portals) back though time to even before the creation of the universe all the way though creation of the universe and earth, to seeing the formation of mankind and he sees forward to the flood, to the rise of the messiah ("The righteous one shall arise from his sleep") and then all the way to the end times including the rapture (inference-"on the day of tribulation of the sinners -Your children shall mount and rise as eagels"), tribulation, millennium, final judgment (and place where the fallen angels and rejectors of Te LORD go) and recreated Heavens and Earth. Its an amazing trip!The book also mentions how the fallen angels taught humans are to become efficient murderers with weapon building and also taught them how to do abortions. It goes not to show the formation of evil spirits and how they perverted the message of the stars into astrology; they taught mankind divinations, drug use to alter the mind, etc., when the offspring (DNA manipulation) of Human fallen Angel coupling (hybrids-think about the modern UFO ET books that talk about missing time and producing human alien hybrids such as Bud Hopkins books) were physically destroyed there spirits wonder the earth looking for people to inhabit, these are what the bible calls Demons (they are not fallen angels they are spirits of the nephilim). Again these could explain familiar sprits (a spirit who pretend to be a dead relative, there were hear they know what there were like and they know your secrets, they can also convince you you were reincarnated, they have been hear longer then man and they are not beset by memory loss) ghosts etc.,I find the book of enoch to be like a summery of Human History and beyond also it reminds me of other books that are in the bible, such as the book of revelation of Jesus Christ. I like the way the book praises the LORD of Spirits (Glory etc., ) Allot. It talks about those who are the saved because they hang upon the LORD. And there are some interesting scientific things hear, such as a a description of 7 great islands could that be continents?, a description of gravity, a statement that the moon reflects the light from the sun and how there are orbits. It also states that the light from the sun only hits one side of the moon, which is true. Not know by the science of 300 BC.I think the book of enoch is a great read but I would only recommend this book only the Christians and Jews who study scripture and have a good grasp on Biblical symbology.
